    Bug Fixes

    • Fixed a memory leak that lead to slowdowns and crashes when playing the game for a long time.
    • Fixed a crash that sometimes occurred after a player has lost a 2vs2 game.
    • Fixed several issues with the online mode that caused the game to crash.
    • Fixed a crash that occurred sometimes when exiting the game while viewing a large lake or a coast.
    • Fixed a rare crash caused by siege towers.
    • The game no longer crashes when placing a building at the edge of the map.
    • The game should crash less frequently when the graphics card is out of memory.
    • Several minor crash fixes.
    • Turret catapults can now be rebuilt if the construction worker dies.
    • Fixed an exploit that allowed players go gain unlimited gold and resources during a 2vs2 game.

    Bug Fixes (Mission pack specific)

    • Mission 2 - Hendalla: The holy cow got stuck at the first market place sometimes. This also resulted in the creation of hundreds of enemy battalions over time.
    • Mission 6 - Praphatstan: Praphats gold carts stopped moving when the player built walls at certain locations.
    • Bay of Alliance: The player was told to move "Soldiers" to a village although only swordsmen were checked for.
    • Several minor improvements to all maps.

    Improvements (Online mode)

    • Players can no longer be flooded with clan invitation.
    • Prevented room join & leave messages from appearing while users are chatting.
    • Made ranked game validation more reliable.

    Known Issues

    • After loading a saved game created prior to version 1.3 the game may crash if numerous saved games exist.
    • Saved games from versions older than 1.1 cannot be loaded. We advise you to finish your latest mission before applying the patch.
    • Saved games from the campaign tutorial mission (Vestholm 1) made with game versions 1.1 and 1.2 will not work properly. We advise you to finish the tutorial before applying the patch.

    • Map Editor: Sped up loading of maps.

    • Several graphical issues have been fixed.
    • An online match connection problem related to several network adapters being installed has been removed.

    • The Map Editor saves user-defined groups.
    • Importing a new quest library into an existing map no longer deletes all quests.

    Known Issues

    • Saved games from the campaign tutorial mission (Vestholm 1) made with game versions 1.1 and 1.2 will not work properly. We advise you to finish the tutorial before applying the patch.
    • The game may no longer force online activation if certain third-party programs are installed. You will need to insert the game DVD to play.

    Improvements

    • Map Editor Do/Undo tool performance improved.
    • Quest trees in the Map Editor are exportable to GraphViz.
    • Added support for cliff “snapping“ in the Map Editor.
    • The Map Editor updates terrain blocking when placing/removing cliffs.
    • Several quest system improvements.

    Bug Fixes Game

    • Fixed a problem on 7000 series nVidia graphic cards where the game would cause a blue screen under very rare cirumstances.
    • Game no longer crashes upon entering LAN/online mode if no network connection is available.
    • Building decals should now always be visible.
    • Fixed a bug on campaign map 4 (Narfang) where Hakim would not reach the castle and hence the final quest could not be completed.

    Bug Fixes Map Editor

    • A selection problem with certain types of stones & trees has been fixed.
    • Some fixes for wall gate, map rotation, water level, and brush tools.
    • Map Editor files are now removed when uninstalling the game.
    • Fixed bug where entities were invisible yet cast shadows.
    • Fixed several issues related to Do/Undo.
    • Added snapping points for harbour wall.
    • Map sound points are now properly stored.
    • Fixed some issues related to localization.
    • Several minor fixes related to tool usability.

    Improvements

    • When overwriting savegame (both Quicksave and normal savegames) and saving fails, the old savegame is restored rather than deleted.
    • Saving a game requires less memory.

    Bug Fixes

    • Fixed updater bug that prevented automatic updates under Vista
    • Fixed a problem on Challia (map 2) where the knight could get stuck at the fire near the chapel.
    • A rare freeze when building roads across territory borders has been fixed.
    • Fix an occasional crash when loading savegames on Rekkyr map.
    • Fixed a rare file not found error when using 1.3 shaders.
    • Some other minor bug fixes.

    Known Issues

    • Saved games from versions older than 1.1 cannot be loaded, and saved games from 1.2 cannot be loaded by older versions. We advise you to finish your latest mission before applying the patch.
    • The Screenshot function is not working with activated FSAA (Full Screen Anti Aliasing).
    • Clan/Ladder support not active.
    • In rare circumstances it can happen that soldiers get stuck between gates if they perform an action (capture siege cart) there.
    • The game might freeze for a few seconds when moving to an area (for example a big city) for the first time.
    • In some very rare conditions the selection does not work. Workaround: Click with left mouse button, turn the camera.
    • Map Editor: In some very rare conditions the modification of water vectors can lead to undefined results.
    • Map Editor: The position of the diagnostic grid is always on surface height.
    • Map Editor: The quest system is not completely translated.
    • Map Editor: In terrain editing the height of plateaus can only be picked not entered.

    Improvements
    • The DVD check is replaced by an online activation when certain third-party programs are installed. If you are asked for a serial number at the start of the game, please enter your CD key and follow the onscreen instructions to activate the game.
    • The performance for building placement has been improved.
    • Building walls has been simplified.
    • The button for time compression is enabled.
    • Soldiers will automatically fight back if attacked by animals.
    • Feedback when changing the sound options volume slider is added
    • Balancing of city reputation in multiplayer games has been improved.
    Bug Fixes
    • All listboxes can be scrolled to the end.
    • Texts will be placed correctly in every aspect ratio.
    • Inconsistency between the sell price and the amount of received gold has been fixed.
    • Inconsistencies between the trained number of soldiers and the active battalion icon have been fixed.
    • Audio feedback is delivered when mercenaries are receiving commands.
    • Minimap symbols of discovered storehouses don’t disappear when knight leaves the appropriate territory.
    • Single- and Multiplayer map previews have been fixed.
    • Out of memory while saving problem has been fixed.
    • All settings made in the sound menu are saved properly.
    • Fixed desync problems in multiplayer games.
    • In multiplayer games a player will not instantly lose the game if an opponent invades his marketplace using 90 soldiers.
    • Fixed graphic bugs in minimap after loading.
    • In multiplayer games it’s no longer possible that two players connect with the same name.
    • In Challia the guarded cart will no longer be attacked.
    • In Geth all freed carts will go back to Geth.

    Known Issues
    • Savegames from previous versions are not compatible with the Patch. Please finish your latest mission before applying the patch. Also it is not possible to load old savegames under Vista via Doubleclick (Rich Save Games).
